  • 74 Students Inducted into Upsilon Lambda Chapter

The Upsilon Lambda Chapter at the MGH Institute of Health Professions held their annual induction on Sunday April 2, 2023. Seventy-four students and one nurse leader were inducted from the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Direct-Entry Master of Science in Nursing, Post-BSN Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice Programs.

    Recent DNP graduate and
Vice President Quality and Safety of Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, Debra Blyth-Wilk DNP, JD, RN, CPHQ, was the keynote speaker. Two takeaways from her speech were:
Doesn’t matter if we take care of patients at the bedside or if we support those that do, we are all nurses and we will persevere!
How we take care of and support each other now will determine how healthcare will be shaped in the future.

Three awards were given to current members.

The Alexandra Paul Simon Mentoring Award was given to Rachel Cox, DNP, FNP-BC for her work in helping in developing future leaders.

Faculty Emerita, Inge Corless, was in attendance to give the Inge B. Corless Research/Scholarship Award to Rebecca Hill PhD, DNP, FNP-C, CNE for her research and scholarship efforts that benefit the nursing profession.

Debra Blyth-Wilk DNP, JD, RN, CPHQ received the Spirit of Sigma Award for demonstrating the mission, vision, and values of Sigma Theta

We are so excited to welcome these new members and are looking forward to getting to know them better.

Welcome to the Upsilon Lambda Chapter!
